Thea was a very curious little mantis. He loved crawling up and down my hand and never once tried to bite or attack me. He enjoyed eating fresh moths, small flies, and mosquitos. I loved him very much. He ended up passing after being returned to me from a caretaker who fed him and watered him while I was on a trip. His legs got stuck on an adhesive that was deteriorating when he was trying to eat the fruit flies who met the same fate as him. He struggled and ripped off 3 of his 4 legs in the process. He was fed a last meal of honey water and then humanely euthanized. He lies buried in my back yard along with a small Sylvan jumping spider who was never named(caretaker forgot to water the Sylvan). May Thea and the Sylvan rest in peace.
